Euthalius

Euthalius
(? fourth/fifth century)
   Devotional Writer.
Euthalius was the supposed author of a collection of editorial work on the New Testament. This includes a division of the books into chapters, a collection of Old Testament quotations relevant to the text, a list of names and places associated with the text and a short biography of St paul. Authorities disagree as to Euthalius’s dates and origins. He is generally thought to have been a Deacon living in Alexandria in the fifth century, but there is no certainty about this.
